On the occasion of Journalist’s Day and in commemoration of the late martyr Mahmoud Saremi, a friendly gathering was held with the participation of Sodeyf Beykzadeh, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, along with a group of journalists covering the exhibition industry.
In his remarks, Mr. Beykzadeh congratulated the journalists on their day and
paid tribute to the martyrs of the media, particularly those of the 12-day
imposed war. He stated:
“Journalists stand firm, even at the cost of their lives, to ensure that
the truth remains untarnished. Writers and journalists carry a heavy
responsibility in every field, and truth-seeking is their foremost duty—meaning
to set aside assumptions, avoid prejudgment, and rise above self-interest.”
He further emphasized that journalists serve as a strong communication arm
for the exhibition industry, adding:
“It is through journalists that public attention is drawn to the importance
of this industry. In fact, it is their media work that ultimately scores the
decisive goal for the exhibition sector. In today’s world, where news
dissemination has expanded, the role of journalists has become more prominent
than ever.”
During the session, representatives of specialized exhibition media presented their views and professional insights on advancing the country’s exhibition industry and facilitating news dissemination. They also stressed the need for greater synergy among media professionals covering exhibition events, enabling the participation of specialized journalists in international exhibitions, and ensuring maximum coverage of exhibition-related news both domestically and abroad
